Middle School Academy (Grades 6-8)
This is a one-day per week, 4.5-hour drop-off program for students. The parent is NOT required to stay on campus during this time. All teachers have had a background check completed. We cover a variety of topics each semester to include literature, science, social sciences, and life skills with the students. They eat a home packed lunch. Academy is electronics free and students are asked to leave their cell phones in their backpacks during the day. Students are dropped off in our kiss and ride line and picked up at the end of the day in the same manner.
- Literature –
- Books will be read at home prior to class and class time will be similar to a book club with discussions, small group activities, and individual reflection so deeper connections to themes can be made
