Leslie Greene is so excited to bring her enthusiasm for childhood development to Inquisiminds this year! Along with her passion for secular homeschooling, Leslie is bringing her 8 year old homeschooled son to join the community with her. Leslie has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from George Mason University and is planning to pursue her master’s level degrees in mental health counseling and public health in the next few years. Since leaving college over 20 years ago, Leslie has been working in the beauty industry as well as supporting moms and new families as a birth and postpartum doula. Her friends fondly call her “The Professor” because of her many years teaching adults and assisting in public school programs. With her son, Leslie teaches an afterschool cooking club for elementary school kids. Leslie loves crafting with paper and knitting and crochet, ice coffee, and storytelling. She and her son welcomed a new kitten this summer named Tortilla, and have a senior shelter pup, a Shih Tzu named Geppetto.
